Georgia's New School...

...listening to guest speaker Mark Inglis...

...a few pics from Georgia's new school...The school has 537 students and slightly more girls than boys (great for us) - the school is primary only (unlike down here). It is a beautiful green school with gorgeous, huge, established trees all around the area, and a big old English stone fence at the entrance and at least three different playgrounds (and school pool). The school is split into three areas - junior, middle and senior school. Georgia will be starting middle school next year.

..they have a 'complusory sit down to eat lunch time' for the first ten minutes which is great for us! The school also has a competitive gym team which will be a great thing for George to aspire to...

The school is very technology focused - all the inclass whiteboards are connected to computers and a lot of the homework is done online. According to the latest ERO report the majority of students sit above the national average in most subjects. We will be walking to school and we are thrilled to report they have heaps of different team events, a school band and they always do lots of extra activities such as dress up days, school trips, concerts, a school disco and they even have one of the last 'inhouse' dental nurse systems in place...we are planning to take Georgia up one day this term and show her around...
