...Mummy was heartbroken this morning as Miss George announced she wanted to be dropped off to school today and walk in by herself. "But I love coming in", I pledded, knowing I sounded quite pathetic...Mummy did have to do the 'it isn't about me' mantra over and over again...soooo Miss Georgia was dropped off at the front door, admittedly like many of the other children, and she walked in with great gusto and pride, it was quite gorgeous. Mummy's informants did confess that she was swimming with happiness in the classroom with her new measure of independence. Horror of horrors did happen later that morning though, when Mummy found Georgia's 'show and tell' news left on the floor of the car...knowing Georgia would be devastated...that wouldn't have happened on Mummy's shift...however growing up can be quite a brutal thing...more so on the parents I am beginning to feel. I take comfort in the fact Olivia will be 16 and still want her Mummy to take her into the classroom...that I am quite sure of!
